Andalusia company in running for share of $49 million DOD construction contract

Carter’s Contracting Services Inc. (CCSI), Andalusia, is one of eight companies chosen to compete for projects under a $49 million construction contract administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile.

Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of June 26, 2030.

No details were shared regarding the types of projects and their locations associated with the contract, reported by the Department of Defense. However, CCSI, which was founded in 1955 as a family construction business in Andalusia, has a previous track record of building for the U.S. government and military.

Stormwater land management was among the company’s expertise before it branched out into a wider range of construction projects.
