About us

AlaDefense.com is a news site dedicated to military and defense-industry topics specifically tied to the state of Alabama. The state is rich in such history and today provides home for numerous important functions tied to the U.S. military, including Space Command, the Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command and NASA in Huntsville; the Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery; Anniston Army Depot; naval support facilities in Mobile; and the home of Army aviation at Fort Rucker in Dale County. The state’s universities also are home to important cybersecurity research and development programs, as well as vibrant academic opportunities specially designed for military personnel.

AlaDefense.com also is a bridge to strategic communications services, providing freelance contract services in writing, editing, crisis response, partnership building and emergency communications support. Previous work includes projects with local, state and federal entities ranging from government to academia to private enterprise; and includes published work as well as confidential consultation and strategic comm services. We also are experienced in OSINT, or open source intelligence research; and in providing strategic cybersecurity comm services.

Business writing is our most common contract work, and we are currently seeking more partnerships allowing freelance writing/editing contracts and media consultation in the defense industry, and in cybersecurity/infrastructure security. Our goal is to make even the most technical or complicated advancements read simple, noteworthy and most of all interesting to the layman reader; or if otherwise directed, to meet business-to-business needs. Government officials, policy-makers, industry leaders, military and academia read our work, thus we invite prospective clients to allow us the privilege of telling your story in Alabama, or from Alabama to the world.
