Birmingham Industrial Construction LLC, based in nearby Alabaster, was awarded an almost $9.6 million contract for construction of a weapons range at the U.S. Army’s Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
The contract carries an estimated completion date of July 6, 2027.
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Kentucky, is the contracting agency.
Fort Campbell is one of the Army’s largest and most significant installations, and it serves as home to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
Almost two dozen other units and services are based there, including several special operations units.
Birmingham Industrial Construction began providing government agencies comprehensive construction project management in 2006, according to company materials.
Its portfolio includes previous construction projects at Keesler Air Force Base, Maxwell Air Force Base, temporary housing for FEMA, and various other projects such as pipelines.
