MOBILE — USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park announced on Tuesday the selection of the 2025-26 USS Alabama Crewmates, each of whom will serve as ambassadors for the park during the coming year.
The USS Alabama Crewmates will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship to the college or university of their choice. At the end of their year of service, Miss USS Alabama and Miss USS Drum will be named. These two young women will receive an additional $1,000 and $500 scholarship respectively.

The 2025-26 Crewmates.
The new crewmates are:
Elizabeth Barber, age 19. Elizabeth attends University of Mobile where she is a sophomore majoring in nursing. She is the daughter of Steven and Ann Barber.
Margaret Kohnen, age 19. Maggie attends Springhill College where she is a freshman majoring in nursing. She is the daughter of Paul and Tetchie Kohnen.
Amy Claire Lankford, age 20. Amy Claire attends the University of Mobile where she is a junior majoring in business management. She is the daughter of Dewayne and Valenda Lankford.
Madison McNew, age 20. Madison attends the University of South Alabama where she is a sophomore majoring in nursing. She is the daughter of Patrick McNew and Stacy Guy.
Bailey Polk, age 19. Bailey attends the University of Mobile where she is a freshman majoring in early childhood and elementary education. She is the daughter of Bobby and Stacy Polk.
Camryn Waite, age 19. Camryn attends Springhill College where she is a freshman majoring in biology, pre-health. She is the daughter of Steven and Kellie Waite.
