Two Alabama companies are among 19 nationwide competing for portions of a potential $4 billion Air Force contract providing a wide range of operations support for several stateside bases, including Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery.
The contract is tied to the Air Education Training Command.
Tunista Logistics Solutions LLC, Huntsville, and Fortis Native Group LLC, Atmore, are the two Alabama companies selected.
This contract provides for base operations support in the following service areas:
Transient aircraft maintenance, resource management, communications and information technology, visual information services, publishing management, installation management, operations and management, installation engineering, grounds maintenance, emergency management, vertical transportation equipment, fire and emergency services, airfield management, supply and logistics material management services, transportation, purchasing, community services, human resources, weather, and custodial services.
Work will be performed at Maxwell; Vance Air Force Base, Enid Oklahoma; Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, Texas; Laughlin AFB, Del Rio Texas; Keesler AFB, Biloxi Mississippi; Luke AFB, Glendale Arizona; Holloman AFB, Alamogordo New Mexico; Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo Texas; Columbus AFB, Columbus Mississippi; Altus AFB, Altus Oklahoma; and Joint Base San Antonio, Texas.
Work contracted under the deal is expected to be completed by June 30, 2036.
The 338th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph AFB, Texas, is the contracting agency.
Fortis Native Group, LLC was formed in 2022 by Poarch Creek Indians Federal Services.
Tunista Logistics Solutions, LLC (TLS) is an aerospace and defense contractor based in Huntsville. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yulista Holding, LLC, which is an Alaska Native Corporation.
